Juan Taco Ordering System
QR-code contactless table ordering and a restaurant POS in one — digital menus, in-house dining orders, and contactless payment for faster table turnover.
The challenge
Juan Taco wanted diners to order from the table without waiting on a server, and staff to manage those orders without juggling a second system. The two sides — a customer-facing digital menu and a back-of-house point of sale — had to feel like one product.
What I built
I built a QR-code ordering flow where each table's code opens a fast, mobile-friendly menu, sends the order straight to the kitchen, and supports contactless payment. On the operations side I built the POS that tracks those orders through to completion, so front-of-house and kitchen always see the same live state.
The result
Contactless ordering shortened the gap between a customer sitting down and their order reaching the kitchen, which is exactly where table turnover is won or lost. Staff spent less time relaying orders and more time on service.
