The business problem
A retail chain needed to replace a legacy system and give staff and managers a shared view of inventory and sales across locations. The implementation had to support multiple sites within the same operational workflow.
My contribution and implementation
I built POS software in PHP and MySQL with inventory tracking, sales handling and reporting. Multi-location requirements were part of the system scope, rather than a separate reporting exercise added after individual stores were implemented.
Delivered functionality
The delivered system connected inventory information, sales records and management reports for the retail operation. For a new implementation, stock movements, returns and inter-location updates need explicit operating rules and checks.
