GASQ — Get A Security Quote
A two-sided marketplace for the security-services industry — buyers post jobs and compare vendor bids, backed by calculators for staffing, patrol models, and contract pricing.
The challenge
Businesses that need security services — guards, patrols, event security — typically get one quote at a time, with no easy way to compare pricing or staffing models across vendors. Security providers, meanwhile, had no efficient channel to bid on jobs that matched their capacity. Both sides were negotiating blind.
What I built
I built GASQ as a marketplace connecting the two: buyers post their security needs and receive competing bids, vendors submit bids and counter-offers, and both sides can run cost calculators — hourly rates, staffing levels, patrol models, contract economics — to ground the negotiation in real numbers instead of guesswork. The buyer- and vendor-facing tools share the same underlying pricing logic, so a quote means the same thing on both sides of the deal.
The result
GASQ is live as a working marketplace, giving security buyers a way to shop competitively and vendors a direct channel to bid on real jobs — replacing one-off phone quotes with transparent, comparable pricing.
