DevOps without the 3 a.m. call

Fragile servers and manual deploys don’t just slow teams down — they cause the outages nobody wants at the worst possible hour. Calm infrastructure is a choice you make on purpose, before anything breaks.

In practice that means a few unglamorous things done well: automated deploys so shipping is a push and not an event, monitoring that catches issues before your customers do, backups you’ve actually tested restoring from, and a cloud bill that isn’t quietly bleeding you through idle resources.

I build this layer so the 3 a.m. call never comes — and, just as importantly, so your team can operate it without me in the room. Infrastructure should be documented, boring, and forgettable. That’s the whole point.
